Being sucked into "Teaser rate" add's. And not being aware of prepayment penalties. Bait and switch add's. There are so many.
If it sounds too good to be true. It probably is. You may not find out how bad your loan is until years later when you try to refinance. And a big ugly prepayment penalty is stops you.
Interview 3 agents and check their DRE records. DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR REFERENCES. YOU ONLY INSULT AGENTS WITH SOMETHING TO HIDE.
